Officially launched in 2023, Benji’s Snapped is the culmination of a lifelong passion that began in Kevin’s childhood, when a camera first became his way of understanding and preserving the world around him.

From candid moments with friends to thoughtfully posed family portraits, Kevin discovered early on that photography was more than an interest, it was a language. Through images, he found the power to freeze fleeting moments, reveal untold stories, and capture the essence of people as they truly are. What began as a hobby gradually evolved into a calling, inspiring him to build a brand centered on purpose, creativity, and human connection.

Since its inception, Benji’s Snapped has grown steadily, marked by projects that reflect both technical excellence and a distinctive artistic signature. In 2023, Kevin photographed rising R&B artist Honey Baby shortly after her signing with Atlantic Records, a milestone that showcased his ability to capture polished aesthetics while preserving raw energy. That same year, he took on a freelance assignment for the Benedict College Library, photographing former student and public figure Cavel Barnett, demonstrating his versatility in academic and professional environments. His portfolio expanded further when he photographed the Grammy-nominated gospel group The Walls Group, reinforcing his capacity to work with high-profile talent while maintaining an intimate, personal approach.

Driven by a genuine love for the craft, Benji’s Snapped is more than a photography service, it is a creative experience. With every shoot, Kevin strives to make people feel seen, valued, and inspired. His journey is still unfolding, but his dedication to quality, storytelling, and timeless imagery continues to define his work and set the foundation for a lasting creative legacy. L’Heure: When did you first realize that photography was more than just a hobby and could become your true calling?

Kevin: I realized photography was more than just a hobby, it was my calling, when I kept finding myself behind the camera for every sports team I was a part of. Whether I was leading or assisting with our social media pages, I was always trusted to capture the big moments, from game-winning plays to behind-the-scenes highlights. Over time, I saw how naturally this responsibility came to me. I didn’t choose photography; in many ways, it chose me, and I truly believe this path was meant for me.
